Slightly noisy but most reverbs are..i was not impressed how ever with the tone this gave. It seems to reverb your sound but then drastically cut off the note in stead of letting it ring out. even with the delay knob all the way up. very cheap sounding..i use an orange amp that has no reverb which is why i bought this pedal.
Reliability/Durability:
plastic but looks very sturdy, not that it matter because it doenst sound good.
Ease of Use:
4 knobs...fairly straight forward but I gave it a 5 because it honestly doesn't sound good..its just the tone of the pedal. I expecting warm reverb but this sounds very electronic. More of that below.
Customer Support:
company doesnt exist anymore i believe
Overall Rating:
ive tried the holy grail and the SRV-1 and even though the holy grail was noisy as hell id rather have that for its tone than this weird tin can digital sounding. i urge everyone to try this pedal first so skip on it and look at something else..t rex if you can afford it.

Very good sounding pedal! I play blues rock and classic rock. It fots my style perfectly. I use it with my American Strat and Ibanez with humbuckers. It takes the place of my DigiTech XRV. The DigiTech XRV has 7 reverb modes and the Arion SRV-1 has only one, but SRV sounds much more natural. It cannot produce extreme reverb like digital effect, but this's what I like and this is what a reverb should be. I'd been looking for a natural sounding reverb that don't color my tone that much for a long time. That's it! It's not noisy at all. I use the SRV-1, a Arion SAD-1 analog delay(for short delay) and a BOSS DD-6(for long delay).
Reliability/Durability:
Reliable. The good thing is that I can use my Boss PSA, ACA, or DigiTech adapter with it and it keeps working quietly.
Ease of Use:
This is an vintage analog reverb made in Japan. It's easy to get the reverb you like. The knobs are Leveel, Color, Feedback and Delay Time. Stereo outputs. It has only one reverb type.
Customer Support:
Never try.
Overall Rating:
I've been playing for about 20 years and I'm working in a bar playing rock music now. For my style, it beats the digital reverb effects like my DigiTech or my friends' Boss RV-5. If it were stolen or lost, I don't know where to get one. I heard that Arion in Japan is closed. It's pity. If you find one and want a warm and natrual sounding analog reverb, don't let it go.

I have Boss RV5 and DigiTech XRV. I mainly use the DigiTech when I do computer recordingbecause of it has cabinet simulated outputs and I like using amp's reverb when I am using a guitar amp. I don't like he Boss and DigiTech's too digital sound. Arion is my first analog reverb pedal, I've nerver found an anoalog reverb pedal before! It sounds so much close to my amp's reverb, but I can get more reverb with this little box! The sound is so natrual and real! Because it has stereo outputs, I put it in front of the Digitech XRV before going into mixer, and the other output goes into guitar amp. The Digi XRV is off, I just use it as cabinets simulate. In fact, analog effects are always more natural than digital effects. Music needs to be natrual!
Reliability/Durability:
I bought it used last month. It is an pedal in the 80s'! I think it is OK! I also have several Arion effects, but none is broken. Waht is it's metal rather than plastic...
Ease of Use:
This is the vintage Arion SRV-1 analog reverb made in Japan in 80s'. It has 4 knobs, the same as my DigiTech X-Reverb. But I've been using the DigiTch XRV for a long time. So I must spand some time getting use to the Arion SRV-1. But the 4 knobs are easy to understand. In fact, veery natural tone comes out very soon!
Customer Support:
Never
Overall Rating:
I've been playing 15 years. I like playing Randy Rhoads and Thin Lizzy! It provides me the real reverb effects in my heros' guitar solo. I want to buy one more if I had the chance to see one. I need this analog reverb much! It just there to give your sound some space, it won't color your sound too much but digital reverb will. Arion only produce this in 80s' in Japan, so it's very rare and more expensive now. But it really worth the money for me.

The sound quality is good. Nice analog sound on "delayed" processed signal from the effect. It's not noisy, I tested it with a Roland Cube 30, dry , no effects. I find a pleasing room type of "slapback". When you really dig in , you kind of hear the "skelator" effect from the delay. (Anyone who remembers "he-man" knows how they used a doubled analog delay to get the voice of the cartoon villian). Let me be clear, this is way before modeling; so the effect is a very non flexible analog "reverb" based on a delay or slapback approach in it's qaulity of replication. The presence is very nice providing a minimal "sustain" quality that's only acheive through the use of any type of reverb. This surely isn't a "spring" reverb, or any other new types of digital reverb. I think this is a reverb sound from the mid-80's when plate reverb was the "new" type of reverb found on lots of recording. Definately a 80's classic plate or room type of reverb that's based on echo. This is probably right up the classic heavy metal type of reverb/mild echo. However, the effect is very subtle "plate" type of reverb. The effect sounds great with all other pedals, I've got 3 other Arion effects on the Arion pedal board. I'm trying to out fit a whole arion set up. I really think most of thier effects are good. ( I didn't like the compressor or the stereo delay by arion, but I don't like any compressors, so that's biased )
Reliability/Durability:
Well, the reliability must be decent since the unit is at least 20 years old or maybe 15. It is like all the other arion pedals, made from high impact molded plastic. This unit is older so it was made in japan which is probably better than sri lanka/indosnesia. I've used arion pedals on gigs, no problem!
Ease of Use:
The pedal is fairly easy to use. It has 4 knobs, a level, feedback, regeneration, and one more that I can' recall. I purchased this used so there wasn't a manual.
Customer Support:
Never dealt with Arion , they are probably OK. Like most companies , if you really want to get somewhere, try using the phone!
Overall Rating:
I like Arion effects, classic 80's effects. I probably won't replace if it's stolen since it would be difficult. This is a rare pedal these days; I don't think Arion will make this pedal again. If they come out with a new reverb pedal it will digital reverb like everything else on the market. This is a one of kind reverb pedal, it's very unique; I could really see a metal player really desiring this pedal to achieve the classic 80's sound! I never tried this unit in stereo, I really should! All the other Arion pedals I've tried in stereo have been stunning stereo presence. I've got a feeling this pedal really could do some damage in the dual amp/stereo set up. The pedal does possess a inherit tone and presence like no other "reverb" pedal, classic "plate/room" reverb sound from the 80's!

This thing is a little noisy when you crank it, but you can get all the reverb you will probably ever need before you hear this thing humming at an annoying level. The reverb itself is awsome, especially when you run it stereo. By just EQing each channel a little differently you can create a huge space. This is the beauty of the srv-1.
Reliability/Durability:
Never seen a broken Arion yet, and I've seen some really beat ones. All sound great and work fine-despite their plastic housing.
Ease of Use:
this is one of the better ARION PEDALS AND ONE OF THE MORE better sounding ones i just love it i use it with my vox cambridge with does not have reverb built in its real easy to dial in lush reverb sound hell i can get a limp bizkit take a look around into sound
Customer Support:
No clue. Can't find a website or anything.
Overall Rating:
If your not all gay about lables and bullshit, this is one of the best stereo reverb effects on the market. Very distinctive sound. On par or better than expensive pedal makers. They're getting harder to find but still a great deal. Make sure you get the SRV-1. Arion got lucky with the SRV-1.
