Biography:
My dad taught me to play. He toured with a lot of big name people back in the 70s, 80s and 90's. He does session work too and still plays in a band here in Florida.
My style is blues based classic rock. Been playing since 1999. Playing in a 5 piece blues / classic rock band-3 guys and two girls. I sing harmony and play rhythm guitar.
A lot of my instruments are from the 1960s and they are works of art. My dad gave them to me. I have modern instruments too, that I use when playing live.
I am so not a gear snob. Dad says instruments are just tools-don't get emotional with tools. Save the valuable instruments for your private life and use the run of the mill stuff for gigging.
My main amp is a modified 1998 Peavey Bandit with a 1X12 external cab, or a modified 2003 Peavey Transformer 112 that my dad bought for me. I rehearse with a Bugera V5.
I know how to work amps and guitars because I was trained by my dad. He has a collection of some of the best stuff ever made-but I'm happy with my stuff, too.
I use analogue pedals and an old BOSS ME 5 with my amps. No digital stuff for live performances but I have a little portable stereo rig with amped-speakers and a ZOOM G2.
