  • Zoom Revamps Their Most Popular Effects Pedal

    By Guest |

Since introducing the 505 pedal in 1996, Zoom compact multi-effect processors have been highly acclaimed by guitarists all over the world. For years, the G1 has been a mainstay in Zoom's versatile line of effects pedals. Now, representing the next standard for expressive tone in any style, Zoom is pleased to introduce the all-new G1N and G1XN guitar effects pedals. Building on the tone and functionality of the original G1, the G1N and G1XN offer totally new drive sounds developed using Zoom's state-of-the-art ZFX modeling technology. Both pedals feature 15 amp and stomp box models that faithfully replicate every detail of the classics, from gain settings to harmonic character. And for additional control and versatility, the G1XN has an on-board expression pedal. The new pedals also offer brand new artist patches, simulating the sounds of Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton and more. There are even 21 patches designed by world-renowned guitarists like Richie Kotzen, Matt Bachand, Mike Stone and Kiko Loureiro. "Zoom is meticulous when it comes to tone," says Mark Wilder, Director of Marketing for Samson. "Tone was the driving force for revamping the G1 and it shows in every new patch. Zoom has really outdone themselves in creating authentic sounding models that are practical for any guitarist." Like the original G1, both new pedals employ Zoom's own 32-bit, ZFX-3 processor, allowing the character of the guitar to be brought out without restriction thanks to smooth and detailed signal processing. An on-board drum machine and tuner round out the comprehensive features, packing this pedal with everything necessary to elevate any guitar performance.
