Vintage tape echoes are still highly sought after for their signature sound, but they can be finicky beasts that are also noisy.

Fulltone has addressed these issues with the creation of the Custom Shop Tube Tape Echo (TTE), offering the charm of a vintage Echoplex, only without the hum, hiss, and headache of the original.

The TTE features a quiet DC motor (versus less efficient AC motors used in older tape echo designs), Stereo Outputs, Custom made Tape Cartridge (same as original Echoplex) loaded with high-quality recording tape, which not only sounds better, but is not prone to shedding according to the company, so it lasts much longer. Maximum delay time is over one second.

Powered by two 12AX7's and one 12AT7, the "TTE" comes covered in Cream Tolex, is nickel plated, has "Roll Bars" for protection, and ships with a wood reinforced Cordura Nylon Bag.

Retail Price: $999.

And to celebrate the birth of this new member to the Fulltone family, they are giving serial #0002 away to one lucky winner. To enter, visit the product information page at www.fulltone.com/C_S_TubeTapeEcho.asp and look for the giveaway icon on the left hand side.
