Fixed bugs in plug-ins and WaveShells
PAZ and REQ
- Fixed: In previous 2.3 version, PAZ and Renaissance EQ crash in ProTools if stereo PAZ is loaded first, then a stereo REQ 6-band, onto the same DSP chip. This usually happens when you open a session, or specifically insert these processors in this specific order.
S1
- Fixed: When using S1 in AudioSuite, the meters no longer stay "lit" after previewing stops.
C1
- Fixed: Pressing the 'bypass' and clicking the 'Setup B' button (to switch to the other preset) no longer causes Pro Tools TDM to crash.
PAZ
- Fixed: Inserting PAZ (TDM) with Renaissance EQ no longer causes a crash.
- Fixed: Demo time for all Native host applications is now 90 seconds.
Q10
- Fixed: When operating a filter with Q = 0.5 and dragging it to the right side of the screen, the graph no longer flattens out.
AudioTrack
- Fixed: When operating a filter with Q = 0.5 and dragging it to the right side of the screen, the graph no longer flattens out.
DeEsser
- Fixed: In ProTools automation, Audio and Sidechain controls now listed correctly.
WaveShell-VST
- Now supports Stereo inserts, group sends and group inserts.
- The demo shell now has a separate preference file for where the Waves plug-ins is stored.
- Fixed crashes:
- When canceling dialog that asks where is the Waves plug-in folder.
- When there is no valid Waves plug-in inside the Waves plug-in folder.
- Name that appears in VST's menus and displays is now shorter ("WaveShell").
- Fixed bug concerning the way plug-ins set-ups are saved with the song. Now version 2.5 plug-ins opens correctly from pre-saved songs.
WaveShell-MAS
- Fixed crash when trying to run unauthorized Waves plug-ins in non-demo mode.
- Now 'bypass' mode is compatible with the behavior of 'bypass' in other Waves environments. This implies that in most plug-ins the bypass preserves levels!
- Now 'bypass' mode does not freeze the VU meters.

Plug-in-specific fixes and updates
AudioTrack
- Q compensation: for bell-type filters, when frequency rises towards 20KHz, Q is automatically raised. Before, the filter flattened when Q was low (e.g. 0.5) and the frequency=20Khz. Activating the filter bands: bands that are off ('out') are switched on ('in') by dragging their marker or by setting a filter's Q using Alt + marker. The bands are NOT switched on by changing a filter's value using the value buttons.
- Fix: for applications that use AudioTrack's bypass: the sound was attenuated by 12dB.
- Fix: after switching a filter off using the 'In/Out' button it's marker stayed on.
- Fix: When setting one of the bell filters from sections 2-4 to a frequency value lower than the section's limit (by button edit), the graph was showing the incorrect frequency.
C1
- Fix: in components that include an equalizer, there was an FPU-denormalization problem when switching between key modes during preview when using the equalizer, resulting in huge CPU consumption.
- Fix: Large CPU consumption in Cubase VST when sound becomes zero in Split mode and Wideband mode.
- Factory presets numbering has changed from alphabetic letters to numbers.
- For demo, only C1+ component is available.
DeEsser
- The threshold value is now not affected when loading factory presets. The threshold control value depends upon the audio input amplitude and is always set by the user.
L1
- Fix: during preview, using IDR type 2, when switching quantization level to 12 or 8 the sound became very noisy.
- Fix: At the beginning of the process, there was an attenuation of the sound.
MaxxBass
- The input gain value is now not affected when loading factory presets.
RCL
- The input gain value is now not affected when loading factory presets.
- Clicking on an input or output VU peak meter now resets both left and right values.
- Fix: during preview, there were 1-pixel wide lines that stay on the VU display. That happened when moving other windows around.
Qn
- Q compensation: for bell-type filters, when frequency rises towards 20KHz, Q is automatically raised. Before, the filter flattened when Q was low (e.g. 0.5) and the frequency=20Khz. Factory presets numbering has changed from alphabetic letters to numbers.
- Fix: the auto-trim always displayed -0.1 while previewing with a flat equalizer.
S1
- A new component, "S1 No IDR", has been added.
TV
- Tail button: after opening the button for edit, it is now possible to type in "auto" or "auto tail" for auto tail; "no" or "no tail" for no tail.
- Fix: the predelay parameter has been limited to 160 mS. Before, the limit was 200 mS and the predelay stopped functioning at some point.
