  • Tonelux Introduces Rack Gear at AES 2008

    By Guest |

Tonelux Designs Limited, distributed by TransAudio Group, is introducing their first product in an all new line of rack-mounted gear at the 125th AES Convention in San Francisco. The single-rack space EQUALUX EQ is the equivalent of the highly sought after Tonelux EQ4P which fits into the Tonelux V-8 Roadster and Tonelux V-Rack.

Noted Paul Wolff, president of Tonelux, "I have always felt that when creating a new product line in a different format than your standard line, the design must maintain the same quality as your existing products or even surpass them. If not, you are placing your entire brand in jeopardy. With the new Tonelux rack-mount modules, I have added features that didn't quite fit on the V-Rack module panel and, in addition, have incorporated valuable end user suggestions."

The EQUALUX has all of the features of the EQ4P, plus proportional Q and fixed 1/3 octave switches on ALL four bands, shelving on both the high-frequency band and the low-frequency band, a silent IN/OUT switch, and the addition of a hard wire bypass switch that also bypasses the unit in the unlikely event of a power failure. The front panel and chassis is a very sexy extrusion that will accent any rack of equipment. The EQUALUX EQs will be available after AES. In addition to the EQUALUX, Tonelux will be introducing the DYNALUX Compressor, a two-channel version of the TXC compressor, with many added linking and control features. A dual mic pre is also in the works.
