  • Tone2 Audiosoftware Releases Gladiator 2.0 Synthesizer

    By Guest |

Tone2 has announced the availability of Gladiator 2. A revolution in synthesis, Gladiator uses Harmonic Content Morphing (HCM) combined with a large, expandable collection of standard and resynthesized waves.

These waves can be modified in real time using various modifiers altering their harmonic structure, in total there are more then 30.000 different spectra available for combination and modulation.

    New features:

    • HCM3 synthesis engine
    • New quality mode: Ultra provides 2x oversampling for modulation sources
    • New quality mode: Linear provides highest precision rendering with linear phase
    • Postprocessing filter for rendering with linear phase: Smaller frequency falloff above 12 kHz
    • Psychoacoustical postprocessing for warmer sound
    • FX Mix knob for dry/wet mixing of the effect section
    • 6657 additional OSC waveforms
    • New random, copy and paste buttons for randomizing and copying OSC settings
    • New Modifier: phasemod for generating analogue, warm, noisy and supersaw sounds
    • Six new unison modes
    • Pan knobs for all oscillators and AM
    • Volume and filter shape knob for envelope shape selection
    • New Moog 25dB lowpass filter
    • 25 additional waveforms for OSC5
    • Semitone tuning, start, retrigger and loop knobs for OSC5
    • New effects: Phaser, Flanger 2, Superstrings, Talkbox, Reverb trance, Reverb real and 24dB LP, 12dB BP, 24 dB HP filters
    • Feedback delay section for morphing echo and filtered delay effects
    • Two additional ADSR Envelopes with shape selectors
    • Additional LFO (LFO4)
    • Key follow function for LFO
    • New modulation source: flipflop, triggers to -1 or 1 on NoteOn commands
    • 400+ new presets

    Changed and improved:

    • Improved performance: Faster preprocessing
    • Improved random function
    • Maximum number of voices has been increased to 256
    • Faster patch changes
    • Low frequency OSCs are calculated with higher precision
    • Improved frequency response for filters
