  • Tanglewood Launches Roadster Travel Guitars

    By Guest |

Tanglewood Guitar Company UK will introduce its new Roadster Series of travel size acoustic guitars at the 2011 NAMM Show.

Taking over where its overwhelmingly popular Evolution Series TB-BABY guitar left off, Tanglewood has expanded its travel size offering to include both acoustic (TWRT) and electro-acoustic (TWRT-E) options. The new Roadster instruments target both the guitarist on the move, as well as younger players with smaller hands.

The instruments each feature a Cedar top (solid Cedar, in the case of the TWRT-E) and mahogany back and sides. With functionality being the main priority, the guitars’ aesthetic is purposefully understated – the natural satin finish, lack of rosette, and binding-less body all tastefully underscore the utilitarian feel.

The TWRT-E is fitted with Tanglewood’s 2-band EQ, with back-lit LCD tuner. Both models include a sand-colored gig bag.

The new Roadster guitars will begin shipping to North American Tanglewood dealers in January 2011.
