TAL Audio announced their Armadillo Blues Preamp with Roadkill Fuzz. The product was developed to provide an economical solution to instrument interfacing requirements with professional audio consoles and musical instrument amplifiers.

The TAL Audio Armadillo Blues Preamp is a low-noise preamp with a footswitchable harmonic overdrive circuit designed for live performance and studio recording. The 100% analog design instrument preamp interfaces with both pro and semi-pro recording equipment, instrument amplifiers, and was specifically developed for direct injection recording applications.

The dual 9 volt battery powered preamp features a custom tuned 3-band active EQ circuit and an ultra-high input impedance for use with both acoustic guitar piezo type pickups and electric guitar magnetic pickups. It is especially useful in applications involving vintage or acoustic instruments with low output pickups. The preamp also includes a footswitchable harmonic overdrive circuit, the Roadkill Fuzz, which incorporates true bypass switching to eliminate loading effects of overdrive circuitry when bypassed. Each unit is hand assembled in the USA using the highest quality electronic and mechanical components.

"Results of critical product evaluations conducted over the past several months by top session guitarists, major retailers, and award winning recording engineers have been extremely positive and enthusiastic. I am very excited about the release of this product and believe that it will fill a much needed gap between low quality, low fidelity mass produced pedals and overly complicated, high cost instrument preamps," states company President and product designer, Tim Luhrman.

The TAL Audio Armadillo Blues Preamp has a list price of $159 and is available for immediate delivery direct from manufacturer.
