SWR unveiled two all new Limited Edition speaker cabinets at this winter's NAMM show: the Black & Chrome 12-Stack 4x12 and the Black & Chrome 12-Pack 2x12.

These Limited Edition speaker cabinets are based on custom designs requested by Robbie Merrill of the band Godsmack, who used 8 of the 12-Stack 4x12 cabinets, along with scores of SWR 750x and Power 750 amplifiers, on their most recent tour. SWR has set out to make a special limited run of cabinets that offer the same looks and ultra-loud, "low fidelity" tones that will easily cut through the mix of heavy guitars.

The new 12-Stack 4x12 and 12-Pack 2x12 speaker cabinets have been designed for players who want an alternative to the "hi-fi" SWR sound. The secret to the low fidelity sound of these cabinets is the combination of a new cabinet footprint and the 4 custom SWR 12" speakers in the 12-Stack 4x12 (2 custom SWR 12" speakers on the 12-Pack 2x12), along with the lack of a tweeter usually found in SWR cabinets.

Both the 12-Stack 4x12 and the 12-Pack 2x12 come equipped with Speakon and 1/4" input/output jacks, removable caster wheels and a bottom slot port. Both are also covered in Black vinyl, with stack-lock corners and chrome grill.

The 12-Stack 4x12 has a power rating of 800 Watts RMS, while the 12-Pack 2x12 has a power rating of 400 Watts RMS. The impedance of both speaker cabinets is 8 ohms. US MSRP is $999.99 for 12-Stack 4x12, and $714.27 for the 12-Pack 2x12.
