  • Studio Gem Publishes "The PC-DAW Book"

    By Guest |

Studio Gem has just released a new book called "The PC-DAW Book: How to Build, Optimize and Maintain a PC Based Digital Audio Workstation." Studio Gem has been custom building PC-DAWs for over seven years and has now compiled their knowledge into book form.

"We realize that many musicians would like to save some money by building their own systems rather than purchasing a turn-key system," says Eric Hanson, Technical Support Mgr. "We'd like to share our experience and help them build the best system possible."

The new book written by Studio Gem's founder J.R. Stevens, covers everything from component selection and hardware issues to specific setting changes in the various Windows operating systems. "These setting changes are critical for optimizing the system for audio production as well as increasing overall reliability," said Stevens, "Following this guide step by step, produces a PC-DAW that equals and or even surpasses one of our own Studio Gem systems. The invaluable information we've shared here is based on over 25 years of combined experience in the industry and we've left no stone unturned."

The PC-DAW Book is only $24.95 for the hard copy and a downloadable version is now available for $16.95.
