Steinberg is pleased to announce a cooperation with the Swedish company PrimeSounds. Building on Steinberg's stake in the sample and instrument provider Wizoo, the move widens Steinberg's product palette in the area of online content. The PrimeSounds online sample archive is accessible to Steinberg customers at www.steinberg.net/primesounds. Both professional and hobby musicians will find a huge and constantly growing range of sounds and samples for music production with Cubasis VST, Cubase VST or HALion. Over 18,000 samples are already available for download.
PrimeSounds is a subscription service, which can be individually suited to each customer's needs. Those who are curious to find out more can try out a one-month subscription. Every day for a whole month, up to 50 MB of sound files can be downloaded for only USD 15. With the Professional Account, up to 250 MB can be downloaded every day -- without spending money on sample CDs that may contain samples, which are not required. Anyone can find those sounds, loops and samples best suited to their music project.
Even those looking for something a bit more out of the ordinary will find what they're looking for quickly thanks to the intelligent search engine. It can search for genres, sample rates, loop speeds (in beats per minute) or, of course, specific instruments. All sounds can be auditioned free without subscribing.
"The PrimeSounds services are an ideal addition to the products of our partner Wizoo Sound Design, whose multisample CDs are available in our online shop and who will also offer a download service for its multisamples in the near future," explains Per Larsen, Steinberg's COO.
"We expect to see a significant increase of creative users searching our database as the subscription service provides access to a massive amount of sounds without having to pay a fortune, " says PrimeSounds CEO Stefan Lagrell.
The PrimeSounds online sample archive is accessible 24 hours a day through the Steinberg website at www.steinberg.net/primesounds.
