Spectrasonics today announced the release of Trilian(r) version 1.2 with full 64-bit cross-platform support for the award-winning bass virtual instrument. Version 1.2 includes new features and enhancements to the Spectrasonics STEAM Engine(tm) including improved browser features, new synthesizer filter algorithms and a new 'Sample File Server' function giving the software the ability to go beyond 32-bit memory limits on Mac OSX systems. With the new update Trilian joins Omnisphere and Stylus RMX as fully Mac and Windows native 64-bit plug-ins. The Trilian version 1.2 update is a free as download for all registered Trilian users. New in Trilian Software v1.2:
  • 64-bit native support with Mac OSX 64-bit hosts
  • 32-bit Sample File Server - more memory access in OSX 32-bit systems
  • New Browser "Favorites" system with star ratings
  • New "Projects" quick tagging for easy sound organization
  • New "Juicy" and "Power" synthesizer filter algorithms
  • Triplets and Dotted values in Arpeggiator
  • Numerous compatibility and support improvements
New in Trilian Patch Library v1.2:
  • Additional "Open" Multis (optimized for standard playing without mutes) for the Chapman Stick, Clean Fender, Rock P-Bass Pick and Retro 60's Electric Basses
  • Complete Enhanced Trilogy Synth Patch Library
  • Revised 1.2 edition of Trilian Reference Guide
  • New and Improved Filter Preset Library
  • Over 50 New Arpeggiator Presets
  • Various fixes and improvements
Trilian v1.2 also installs the following from previous updates:
  • Trilian full Synth Patch Library—over 500 new synth bass patches
