TC Electronic has announced the new SP-1 Surround Panner Joystick for the System 6000 - a new external hardware multi-channel control device for the popular surround and multi-engine signal processing mainframe. The SP-1 is designed to compliment TC's newest and future generations of interactive multi-channel algorithms and parameters as an option to the existing virtual joystick on the System 6000's Icon touch screen remote control surface. A new page of general parameters for the SP-1 is now provided in the latest System 6000 operating system release.
The SP-1 Surround Panner Joystick features Learn and Grab program modes and in addition to the joystick, it is a general purpose device which is capable of controlling features and parameters within several System 6000 algorithms. It offers cascading possibilities of up to eight joysticks with control over up to eight simultaneous channels. The SP-1 is connected via it's MIDI I/O to the mainframe with later connections to the System 6000 CPU chassis directly. The SP-1 Surround Panner Joystick will be available November, 2000.
