Boston, MA - Source Audio has expanded the functionality and sonic territory of the Ventris Dual Reverb with a thoroughly updated version of their Neuro Mobile App. The Neuro Mobile App and the previously released Neuro Desktop Editor are powerful editing tools for creating and organizing highly customized presets for the Ventris Dual Reverb and the rest of Source Audio's line of One Series pedals. The Neuro Mobile App is a free download for iOS and Android devices.

"Ventris is not only the easiest to use full-featured reverb pedal on the market, it is also the most deeply editable," says Source Audio president, Roger Smith. "And now it is accessible on every important desktop and mobile platform. With all of the editing and preset sharing abilities of our Neuro Editors, Ventris owners will feel like they are getting a brand new, high end reverb pedal each week."

By itself the Ventris Dual Reverb is an easy-to-use, yet powerful stereo reverb pedal. It offers 12 different styles of reverb, from vintage sounds like Spring and Plate to completely modern sounds like Shimmer, and Reverse. The Ventris is called a "Dual Reverb" because it is built on two independent reverb processors. This dual reverb architecture offers significant advantages like immense processing power, adjustable preset spillover time, and the ability to run two reverb effects simultaneously. In addition the Ventris includes 128 presets, stereo inputs and outputs, analog dry-through, hard or soft (a.k.a. "trails") bypass modes, external expression control, reverb hold (a footswitch controlled reverb sustain function), tap tempo, and MIDI control.

Connecting the Neuro Mobile App to the Ventris Dual Reverb opens the door to an expansive set of additional tones and functions. "Putting too many controls on the face of a pedal undermines the daily user experience, particularly in live situations. However, there are times when it is nice to access deep parameters, browse sound libraries, or create and share your own sounds," says Smith. "With the release of our Neuro Mobile App and Desktop Editors for the Ventris Dual Reverb, we seek to provide musicians access to highly advanced sounds and features without losing the fun and immediate feel of a vintage stompbox."

Source Audio continues to create new reverb effects (called "Engines") for the Ventris. They are available at no additional cost via the Neuro Mobile App and Desktop Editors. The most recent additions to the growing list of reverb engines are the Outboard Spring - based on a vintage Fender 6G15 - and a unique reverb called "Metal Box."

The Neuro Mobile App's Sound Editor offers a deep set of editing parameters that extend well beyond the six-knob control panel on the face of the Ventris. Added parameters include reverb Diffusion, Modulation, Pitch Shifting, Distortion, advanced EQ, and more. The Neuro App also offers a diverse collection of stereo routing options including stereo splits of wet and dry signals, sending different reverb sounds to each of the two outputs, and the ability to place additional pedals in an external effects loop.

After creating a preset with the Neuro App, it is possible to burn it directly to any of the pedal's 128 preset positions or override one of the default reverb engines on the Effect Selector knob. It is also possible to save presets to a personal, cloud-based preset library and publish them to the ever-growing library of publicly shared Ventris presets.

The Neuro Mobile App is a free download for iOS (App Store) or Android (Google Play) devices. The street price of the Ventris Dual Reverb is $399.
