Alexander Pedals Reveals The F.13 Sci-Fi Flanger

Garner, NC, June 29th, 2015 - Officially declassified following hours of undisclosed experimentation, the new F.13 Sci-Fi Flanger by Alexander Pedals invokes interplanetary, out-of-this-world tonal possibilities for the intrepid instrumentalist seeking the furthest amplified expanses of the known galaxy.

The F.13 contains a distinct design consisting of two separate delay machines synchronized to a single control source, with each flanger feeding back into the other.  This topology results in incredible amounts of jet-plane swoosh without breaking in to self-oscillation. When combined with its ultra-flexible control system, the F.13 is capable of producing individual textures that are all at once familiar and yet completely new.

Each of the F.13’s three control modes yields unique tones:  Step mode forces the flange to “step” to discrete values, resulting in synthesizer-like sample and hold modulation.  Sweep mode is the traditional LFO-based flange and can also act as a “filter matrix” by setting the rate to zero.  Finally, Dynamic mode sets the flanger to follow the input signal, turning the player’s attack into an ever-changing flange freak out.

The F.13 offers the following features:

    • Four knobs to control Rate, Depth, Mix and Regeneration

    • Three available control modes: Step, Sweep and Dynamic

    • True Bypass Switching with a Latching Relay and Soft-Touch Footswitch

    • 9-volt operation and a standard DC input

The F.13 Sci-Fi Flanger is shipping now at a suggested retail price of $189.99 and is available for purchase from dealers of Alexander Pedals worldwide or directly from the Alexander Pedals online store at www.alexanderpedals.com.  Alexander Pedals donates a portion of all profits towards the goal ending childhood cancer.

Alexander Pedals are designed and handcrafted by Matthew Farrow and a group of trusted players, builders and friends.  Since the late 1990’s, Matthew has been building guitar pedals in North Carolina, beginning with Pharaoh Amplifiers and now with Disaster Area Designs.  Matthew has designed some of the most innovate effects on the market, including projects for several major manufacturers.
