To be officially released at the upcoming Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, Schecter Guitar Research has announced the new Diamond Series PT Custom. Replacing the 2002 PT Elite model, the new PT Custom features an arched Mahogany body with a highly quilted maple top, which is outlined in an elegant abalone binding.

Combining a set-in 24 3/4" scale mahogany neck with the mahogany PT-style body, this new 6-string is a hybrid 'Les-Tele.' The 3-piece mahogany neck is also bound and the rosewood fingerboard is inlaid with pearl split-crowns. With a different twist over the usual PT' headstock, Schecter has chosen to use their 'Classic' headstock (from their popular C-Series guitars), which is laminated with matching finished quilted maple and is also bound in abalone.

Two gold covered Duncan Designed H-102 Humbuckers can be 'tapped' via a push/pull control on the Tone control, yielding a wide variety of tonal options. Sustain, intonation and tuning stability are enhanced by the TonePros tune-matic bridge, which locks rock-solid to the bridge posts. Schecter's popular 'thru-body' tail design also adds to the PT Custom's acoustic quality. Gold Grover tuning machines are also standard on this model.

The PT Custom will be available in Transparent Honey (HNY) Antique Amber (ANTQ).

MSRP: $799.00. All Schecter instruments are backed by a Limited Lifetime warranty.
