In the occasion of the Frankfurt MusikMesse, IK Multimedia is expecting to release SampleTank, a software sound module which combines a sophisticated sampler/synth engine with high quality multisampled sounds, into a VST instrument for MacOS and Windows, by the end of March.
SampleTank offers an extremely powerful synthesis engine - comparable only to those found in the most sophisticated sampling workstations, but with no hardware limitations - setting a milestone in the generation of new revolutionary software instruments.
SampleTank features include: 32 bit floating point processing, 128 notes polyphony, 128 voices simultaneously available within CuBase, patented RAM doubling, 4 effects per voice selectable among 20 state of the art DSP algorithms, user-defined sound organization and advanced search features plus AKAI format compatibility and many more.
Up to 500 sounds are ready to go and are included with the software: acoustic grand pianos, guitars, basses, strings, vocals, orchestral sounds, brass sections, woods, winds, drums, percussions and loops, etc all made with the finest samples and accurately programmed.
Talking about SampleTank, Enrico Iori, IK Multimedia's founder and president, said: "SampleTank is the most complex project approached by IK Multimedia since its formation; it represents a full four years of hard teamwork using our most sophisticated skills and unique ideas both in software development and sound design. It will offer a real new way of composing music on computer which could only be dreamed of a while ago, and a huge value for our users".
The software will be available for shipment by the end of March 2001.
