    ISIS WideLine

QSC Audio Products Inc is showing their ISIS WideLine line array speaker system at the 2005 Winter NAMM show. The ISIS WideLine is a full-range (55Hz -- 18kHz per enclosure), wide-coverage line-array designed for ballrooms, theaters, nightclubs, concert halls, and houses of worship.

The newest addition to QSC's ISIS Series loudspeakers, the ISIS WideLine offers an impressive 140-degree horizontal dispersion pattern. It features a three-way, selectable "biamp" or "tri-amp" design with selectable mid-range frequency shading for more coherent pattern control and better intelligibility.

The ISIS WideLine employs dual 380W (RMS), 16-ohm, 10-inch, long-throw LF speakers and a 1.4-inch exit, 16-ohm, 80-watt (RMS) neodymium compression driver, mounted on a proprietary multiple aperture diffraction-slot waveguide. This patent-pending device produces the ideal linear source needed for good line array performance according to the company, and facilitates the enclosure's exceptionally wide dispersion.

The ISIS WideLine's trapezoidal bass reflex enclosure features a core composite construction that contributes to increased output, greater rigidity, and lighter weight - each WideLine cabinet, with fully captive hardware, weighs in at only 70 lbs (31.8kg). The enclosed rigging hardware and fly-grid provides easy adjustment of vertical splay angles (0 -- 10 degrees), and is rated to fly up to 16 enclosures.
