Fender® is proud to introduce the all new Princeton® Recording amplifier, a moderately powered, all-tube amplifier with a host of features specifically designed for rehearsal or recording. Fender will unveil this new amplifier this summer, where it can be seen and heard for the first time at Fender's booth during the NAMM show in Austin, Texas.

The legendary Fender Princeton® Reverb Amp of the 1960s was small, light, and moderately powered, but capable of big tube tone. In the 70s and beyond, countless guitarists made it the quintessential studio recording amp, crafting signature sounds with a stomp box or two feeding that simple miked-up Princeton.

Today, original Princeton Reverbs are prized collectibles, and a wise choice for creating tube tone in a small space. The Princeton® Recording Amp offers all of the great tone and dynamics of the original, plus several modern studio-friendly features. The robust 20-watt platform even provides enough output for small gigs and rehearsals.

The Princeton Recording amp features an all tube preamp, power amp, and Reverb circuitry based on classic 1965 Princeton Reverb, with 20Watts into a 10" Jensen C-10R speaker. It has a Trans-Impedance Power Attenuator that allows players to crank up the amp for full output tube overdrive, then set the volume of the speaker as low as desired—even silent for headphone use!

Unlike other attenuators, the lively feel and "bounce back" dynamics of the speaker are reflected back to the tube amp and the player's hands. This exclusive circuit may be completely bypassed when not needed.

Additional features include: Two "stomp box" effects, which can be completely disengaged from the signal path as desired (3-knob Overdrive, based on traditional stomp box tones, and a 2-knob Compressor, based on classic recording-friendly units); Genuine tube-driven Fender spring Reverb by Accutronics; Headphone output; Speaker Emulated Line Output with Level control and Ground Lift; Speaker Output jack (internal speaker may be disconnected for use with other 8 Ohm enclosures); Professional FX loop; and an included 4-button footswitch.

    US MSRP is $1,428.56.
