Award-winning music college Point Blank has announced a new addition to it's range of online music courses. The four week course reveals the production secrets behind the minimal techno sound and is hosted by acclaimed producer and remixer Danny J Lewis (Defected / Ministry of Sound / XL).
Aimed at users of Logic 8, the course is priced at £250 ($390) and includes a wealth of course materials including course notes, tutorial videos, samples, song files and other resources. Best of all, students benefit from personal feedback on their music each week from a professional producer. Danny will be hosting a weekly webchat where students can ask questions and discuss course topics.
Students also have the opportunity to upload their tracks each week and get personal feedback, tips and advice from a pro. This feature is unique to Point Blank and has proved hugely popular with students from all over the world. Daniel Cesana from Victoria, Australia said "I'd like to say a big thanks to my tutor for his consistency, professionalism and some great tips and feedback. I have learned a lot in this course and will definitely recommend Point Blank to anybody who is serious about pursuing a career in music production."
The Minimal Techno course is the first in a new range of online courses exploring specific genres of music. Danny will demonstrate how producers like Richie Hawtin create the distinctive minimal sound; from unique drum and percussion sounds to leads, pads, textures and effects. Everything is created within Logic—no additional plug-ins are required. If you are a fan of Minimal and Tech House then the course represents a unique way to learn professional production techniques from home.
Class sizes are strictly limited and enrolment is now underway. Point Blank is an Apple Approved Training Centre and has been voted "Best Music Production School" for the last six consecutive years at the annual T-Scan Awards.
