Based on the company's V-Amp 2 guitar amp modeler, Behringer's new X V-Amp floor modeling amp and FX processor ($89.99) includes an integrated expression pedal, 16 V-Amp amp/speaker simulations including a special acoustic simulation and amp bypass function. Shipping is expected in Q4 2003.

The X V-Amp features a freely assignable expression pedal for real-time control of effects or wah/volume control. Its 24-bit stereo multi-effects processor offers some of the V-Amp's stomp box simulations such as delay, chorus, flanger, reverb and wah-wah to name but a few. The amp and cabinet simulation, compressor, noise gate, EQ, modulation effects, delay and reverb can be used simultaneously in any combination. A dedicated semi-parametric EQ for low-end and presence control permits custom-shaping of the sound, while 9 different output configurations offer flexibility.

Presets can be stored in 100 memory locations that are easily editable and storable, visually supported by a 2-digit LED display and intuitive control elements. Like its brother, the V-Amp 2, the X V-Amp features an adjustable and super-precise auto-chromatic tuner. The X V-Amp comes with an external power supply.
