2002 will see the debut of a new Ibanez Joe Satriani Signature Model guitar. With the modern, comfortable curves of Satriani’s aerofoil shaped guitar accentuated by the new Champagne Gold finish, the guitar promises to be a show stopper. But the guitar features more than good looks. It has something that guitarists have wanted Ibanez to make for a long time: a fixed bridge with the tuning stability of the Ibanez Edge locking tremolo system. “The FXEdge is a fine piece of design,” commented Bill Reim, Hoshino’s Marking and Advertising VP. “You’ve got all the tuning technology of the Edge combined with full tone and sustain of a fixed bridge. And it’s on the Joe Satriani model, which is an example in its own right of a great design yielding superior playability and sound. The two together are simply an unbeatable combination.”

The Joe Satriani JS2000 features a body of basswood and an Ibanez Prestige neck that’s an exact digital rendering of the neck on Joe Satriani’s favorite guitar.
