PowerFX Systems has released 5 new CD-ROMS which are available immediately from their secure online store. These collections are as follows:

Downtown Strings II - Downtown Strings II is a collection of pristine, 24 bit Wave, quartet arrangements organized into 5 separate categories: Cinematic, Disco, Hip-Hop, Pop&Rock and Modern Classic. This custom selection features string quartets containing each instruments part as a separate file as well as an "all" section where the instruments play the piece together. These are all original arrangements written especially for PowerFX.

The Samplists Guide To: Vintage Drum Machines - Over 600 MB of loops in various tempos and individual hits all in wave format as well as Windows Media Video clips that show each of the Drum Machines and give a bit of their history. Featured instruments: Roland TR-77, TR-808, TR-606, TR-909 CR-78, CR-8000. LinnDrum LM-1. Oberheim DMX, DX. Wurlitzer Sideman. Korg DDD-1. EMU SP-12 and the Yamaha RX5.

The Samplists Guide To: Jazz Drums - The history of Jazz beats from New Orleans to today. Played and demonstrated by Ralph Peterson. This CD-ROM includes wave files organized into folders based on style and tempo. There is also a large variety of hits, cymbal patterns, rolls, fills and mallet and brush patterns in the "Tools" section. There are also Windows Media clips of Mr. Peterson demonstrating each of the styles and explaining their history.

Extended Waves - Is a new multisample CD-ROM that features 22 sets of 24 bit waveforms pre-programmed for the following formats: Kontakt-HALion-EXS-24-NN-XT.

Dyad Dxi - Dyad DXi is the advanced software sample player and DXi virtual instrument from PowerFX. It comes with a large variety of sounds, real-time processing features, and offers extensive parameter manipulation. Dyad Dxi was created specifically for the DXi2 platform.
