In honor of the company's 40th anniversary (1962-2002), Marshall Amplification has expanded its Classic Reissue line to include the much sought after 2203 JCM800 Master Volume head. In addition, several of the models (1959SLPX, 1987XL, 2203X) now include a non-invasive, "true bypass" Series FX loop that can be switched completely out of the circuit when not in use.

These re-issued amplifiers chronicle Marshall's history in guitar amplification over the past four decades. The sound and aesthetics of these amplifiers has been preserved, right down to the original vinyl covering, grille cloth and front panel controls. The Marshall Classic Reissue amplification line is as follows:

    • 1987XL -- Reissue of the all-valve, 50 Watt Plexi head (Circa 1966-1969): features a "true bypass" Series FX loop
    • 1959SLPX -- Reissue of the all-valve, legendary 100 Watt Plexi head (Circa 1967-1969): features a "true bypass" Series FX loop
    • JTM45 -- Reissue of the all-valve, JTM45 head, 45 Watts (Circa 1965-1966) 1962 -- Reissue of the famous all-valve, "Bluesbreaker" 2 x 12" combo, 45 Watts (Circa 1965-1966)
    • 2203X -- Reissue of the all-valve, 2203, the 100 Watt JCM800 head (Circa 1981-1990): features a "true bypass" Series FX loop

    The Marshall 40th Anniversary Reissue amplifiers are available immediately, with suggested list pricing as follows: 1987XL -- $1650; 1959SLPX -- $1950; JTM45 -- $1650; 1962 -- $2150; 2203X -- $1950.
