New Options on AKG's C 900M and D 880M Emotion Series Microphones

AKG Acoustics announced new technology and options for the D 880M and C 900M Emotion microphones at the Summer NAMM show. Now wired + wireless engineering is integrated into one microphone, providing complete freedom of movement.

New wired + wireless AKG technology allows the C 900M and D 880M Emotion Series microphones to convert to wireless applications. The XLR output on the new C 900M and D 880M is removable allowing it to convert to wireless with AKG's new TM 40 UHF plug-in module without altering the feel of the microphone.

The D 880M dynamic microphone is AKG's best-selling stage microphone. The D 880M features AKG's Varimotion System, which allows the transducer's response to be fine-tuned as the diaphragm is molded. The gold plated inset on the XLR plug optimizes signal transmission and resists corrosion. The D 880M comes with a stand adapter and metal, hard-shell carrying case.

AKG's C 900M condenser microphone features a uniform polar response and optional PB 1000 presence boost adapter for a custom-tailored frequency response. A 24-Karat gold encased cardioid capsule allows optimum conductivity and resists corrosion. The C 900M comes with a stand adapter, PB 1000 Presence Boost Adapter and a carrying case.

An important option with AKG's new Emotion Line is the TM 40 UHF plug-in transmitter. The TM 40 connects quickly and easily to the Emotion Series microphones integrating the versatility and freedom of wireless. The TM 40 is compatible with AKG's WMS40 UHF receivers.

The list price of the AKG D 880M is $147.00 and the D 880MS with silent on/off switch lists at $159.00. The list price of the C 900M is $250.00. All Emotion Series microphones come with a two-year parts and labor warranty from AKG.
