  • New Micahel Kelly® Archtop Jazz Guitar Offers Look and Feel of a Vintage Heirloom Instrument

    By Guest |

Michael Kelly®, a division of Hanser Music Group, steps out with its first ever, archtop jazz guitar. The new instrument features generous use of Flame Maple and a perfectly executed, lightly distressed finish. A part of the company's popular Nostalgia™ guitar series, the new Heirloom LT model features solid Flame Maple for its neck, back and sides. A solid Spruce top provides warm, responsive tone. The fingerboard, bridge and tailpiece are all crafted from Ebony. A lightly distressed finish, complete with small "dings," gives the Heirloom LT the worn-in look and feel of a guitar discovered in your grandfather's attic. A single, suspended mini-humbucker provides a sparkling, warm voice that is a perfect match for this unique instrument. MAP price: $899. "As Michael Kelly's first archtop jazz box guitar, the Heirloom gave us the opportunity to craft something really special," said Tim Keyes, product manager for Michael Kelly Guitars. "The result is a guitar with a traditional jazz tonality and a unique, relic-type look."
