PROMARK ANNOUNCES THE CONCERT ONE SNARE STICK

Promark by D'Addario has announced the Concert One, their brand-new, all-purpose concert snare stick. With the Concert One, Promark rethinks the go-to implement for percussion education. Promark's latest is modeled on top-of-the-line professional sticks, but comes equipped with tools fundamental to the progression of students.

Specifically, the Concert One includes an increased diameter to encourage relaxed playing, a longer taper to help introduce students to rebound, and a barrel-shaped bead that encourages proper playing angle. The Concert One kicks off a new series of concert implements from Promark.

"Promark absolutely nailed it with the Concert One," Jeffrey Handel of South Carolina's Wando High School. "For as long as I've been teaching, the only reliably consistent concert snare stick available at student pricing has been the Vic Firth SD1. This new Promark stick offers a premium boutique design that fits the needs of a professional, a size that feels great in younger hands, and a price point that is lower than the SD1. From Sousa to Grainger to Cirone to Delecluse, the Concert One is a truly impressive, versatile implement."

The Concert One has been designed to inspire players of all ages with its elegant design, responsive feel, and full sound," says Jim Bailey, Educator Relations Manager at D'Addario. "With the features of a professional stick but at an entry level price point, we believe we've hit the sweet-spot of form and function."

The Concert One will be priced as an entry-level stick at a student-friendly rate. It is available for shipping on April 1, 2016.

About Promark by D'Addario:

Founded in 1957 by Herb Brochstein, Promark is based in Houston, Texas and manufactures hickory, maple and Japanese Shira Kashi Oak drumsticks in a modern 90,000 foot facility. It has been family owned and operated since inception, and was purchased by D'Addario & Company in 2011 - the world's largest maker of instrument strings and accessories. Promark uses only un-endangered wood in the manufacturing of its sticks and mallets. Through Promark and D'Addario's Play. Plant. Preserve. program, five trees are planted for each one used.
