New Congas and Bongos from Toca

The Premiere Series has a new look with new features introduced at the 98 summer NAMM show. The redesigned Premiere Series features a durable weather resistant fiberglass shells and Remo Mondo heads to create what we at Toca refer to as an "all weather" conga and bongo. Finally, a professional series conga and bongo set that can withstand the elements of the weather without shell damage or having to re-tune the drum to pitch after every song. Toca Premiere Series combines a fiberglass, contemporary styled Afro-Cuban bowl with an enhanced bearing edge that feels just like wood, fitted with Toca's EasyPlay hoop and a Remo Mondo head to create this one of a kind series. These drums are completely weather durable but still produce that rich warm Toca sound you would expect from a wood series drum. Check out the Premiere Series in Mid-Night Blue or the new Red Black Fade finishes, drum sizes include 11", 11 3/4" , and 12 1/2" 6-lug congas and matching bongos, they feel and sound like wood, but they're not.

Traditional Series

Toca Percussion was built on a foundation rich in tradition with some product designs based off the original hand drums of the past. The Toca Traditional Series continues the tradition of Afro-Cuban shell design by utilizing an extremely tapered bowl to get the most bass tones out of the 11", 11 3/4", and 12 1/2" sized drums. All drums have durable chrome-plated hardware, Toca's four-bolt tension plate, and a traditional hoop fitted with a top-grade bison skins. All these design features create the authentic Afro-Cuban look and sound, thus giving this series the name "Traditional". These drums are offered in Cherry stain and Toca's new Santa Fe White lacquer finishes.

Elite Series

Toca's new Elite double conga set is the ultimate intermediate conga set. No matter if you're a professional or beginner, this double conga set has the features and quality built in to live up to any performance application. Featuring 10" and 11" 5-lug congas with traditional Afro-Cuban shaped bowls, top grade bison heads mounted on chrome-plated EasyPlay styled hoops this conga set delivers on comfort and sound.
