  • Neumann Introduces The Digital Version Of The Classic TLM 103

    By Guest |

Neumann is introducing the TLM 103 D, the next classic microphone to enter the digital realm, at the 125th AES Show in San Francisco. When used in conjunction with digital workstations, Neumann Solution-D microphone technology makes life easier for users. The integrated, extremely fast, peak limiter guarantees optimal recording levels at all times. Likewise, the Neumann A/D converter built into the microphone eliminates the necessity of tedious experimentation with external converters and preamps.

"This ensures that the legendary Neumann sound is captured unchanged on the user's hard disk, with optimal quality," explains Robb Blumenreder, industry team manager, music industry at Sennheiser.

The TLM 103 D is available in nickel and black, with a stand mount. Starter kits are also available, consisting of the microphone, an elastic suspension and a connection kit for direct connection to an AES/EBU or S/PDIF interface.

This year the Berlin microphone manufacturer Neumann is celebrating its 80th anniversary. The company is known worldwide for its high-quality studio microphones, which are standard equipment for almost every professional audio studio. Over the decades, many Neumann products have become legends in the history of audio technology. The company regards its extensive involvement in the development of digital microphone technology as a logical continuation of its pioneering role.

The TLM 103 D is in stores now with an MSRP of $2,650.00.
