  • NetworkSound Releases Mamba ADB AES/EBU to DB25 Patch Bay/Break Out Box

    By Guest |

NetworkSound announces the launch of Mamba ADB an AES/EBU to DB25 break out box / patch bay. The Mamba ADB is a simple to operate unit that provides 32 AES/EBU connections available on 8 DB25s. There are 2 DB25s per 8 AES/EBU connections. The first DB25 is compliant to Yamaha AES/EBU pin out design and the second one is compliant to Tascam/Digidesign AES/EBU pin out design. It is extremely useful to have both standards available side by side since it is very easy to switch between them. One Mamba ADB patch bay will work for both. A simple and inexpensive DB25-DB25 (Hosa DBD-303 — approx $15) cable will suffice to connect the DB25s on the back of ADB unit to DB25s on the Yamaha or Tascam/Digidesign products. It is important to note that only one DB25 (out of 2 standards) per 8 AES/EBU connections should be connected at any given time for proper operation. Some of the key features of Mamba ADB are:

    •

    • 32 AES/EBU connections (16 In and 16 Out) on 8 DB25s
    • First set of 4 DB25s compliant to Yamaha
    • Second set of 4 DB25s compliant to Tascam/Digidesign
    • Each DB25 has 4 In and 4 Out AES/EBU
    • Inputs to the device are available as XLR F
    • Outputs from the device are available as XLR M
    • Compact 2U rack mount chassis & closed box
    • Neutrik XLR quality and durable connectors
    • Modular approach that supports both AES/EBU DB25 pin outs
    • High quality DB25 connectors
    • Mount the unit front or rear on the rack
    • Only 2" depth
    • All connectors are mounted on PCB
    • All connections are routed on board (No wires)
    • No interference and clean digital AES/EBU pass thru
    • Very affordable
