  • NetworkSound Adds AES/EBU Digital Interface to Mamba Digital Snake System

    NetworkSound is pleased to announce the addition of AES/EBU digital interface to the award-winning Mamba Digital Snake System. The Mamba AES/EBU Digital Snake can be used as a simple point-to-point or split system to transport up to 48 x 48 channels (24 x 24 AES/EBU) over a single CAT-5/6 or Fiber. It can also be connected to a standard Analog Mamba system to mix-and-match depending on your application. For example, you can combine an analog stage box with AES near your digital mixer at the FoH. Clock sync is supported with EXT WC input and EXT WC output. Mamba AES digital snake comes with the same key features supported in our original Mamba such as cable (fail over) redundancy, compatibility with standard Ethernet switches, GbE VLAN, Fiber etc. The Mamba AES is a compact 1U rackmount and fits all your 48 x 48 AES digital audio needs using a single CAT-5/6 cable or Fiber. Key features of Mamba AES/EBU Digital Snake system are:

    • 48 channels (24 AES/EBU) bi-directional over a CAT-5
    • Available in 16x16, 32x32 or 48x48 channels model
    • AES/EBU on DB25 (Yamaha AES pin out)
    • Use DB25-DB25 straight cable for Yamaha mixers
    • Use Yamaha to Tascam cross over for Tascam/Digi
    • No sample rate converter or external AES chips
    • All features of award winning Mamba digital snake
    • Main and redundant CAT-5
    • Works over Fiber using off-the-shelf Media Converters
    • Mix & Match Mamba Analog and AES units
    • Point to point or Split (as many drops as you need)
    • Analog I/O on stage and AES at the FoH or vice versa
    • EXT WC in on BNC (48K only)
    • EXT WC out on BNC (48K only)
    • Ext clk or Int clk select
