The Summer NAMM Show saw the debut of two Ibanez Iceman guitars fashioned in the '70s style. "The new Iceman models represent a response by Ibanez to the growing interest in classic designs," said Shogo Hayashi of the Ibanez Electric Guitar Division in Bensalem, PA. "The deluxe version, the Iceman IC400, has a 3 pc maple set-neck with the great 70s feel of the original Iceman guitars, plus the same great mahogany body sound and sustain. In addition, you've got the original parallelogram shaped inlays to complement the whole '70s vibe. The bolt-neck IC200 also features a mahogany body and an even more affordable price."

The IC400 lists for $699.99, the IC200 for $499.99.

The Iceman, one of the most recognizable guitar shapes in rock and roll history, was first introduced in 1975. Some of the most famous versions were the black and chrome PS10's played by Paul Stanley of KISS in the 70s and 90s. Other players who have been associated with the Iceman have been Al Jourgensen of Ministry, J. of White Zombie and Daron Malakian of System of a Down.
