    MusicXPC announced the availability of its MusicXPC Professional C2 media production computer. Based on a Shuttle small-form-factor chassis, MusicXPC C2 is an Intel based computer system tweaked for digital audio and video applications. Available today through music retailers like Sam Ash Music, Manny's Music, Sweetwater, Long & McQuade and others, the MusicXPC Professional C2 is the also one of the quietest computers ever. A heat-pipe cooling system eliminates the need for multiple, noisy fans.

    One new feature for the MusicXPC C2 is the new restoration software it ships with. This restoration software permits the user to restore the machine to factory settings after almost any major catastrophe - even if the drive has been formatted. Further, the user can make new restore point manually or have the computer make them automatically. This feature can save countless hours of downtime.

    The MusicXPC C2 comes in a single configuration and features an Intel Pentium 4 HT 3.0GHz processor, 1GB of PC3200 RAM, 800MHz front side bus, 80GB System HD, 120GB Audio HD, DVD-RW, 6 USB 2.0 ports, 2 FireWire ports, Gigabit Ethernet, 1 PCI slot, 1 AGP8X slot and Microsoft Windows XP. The MusicXPC C2 has a tiny footprint - measuring 30cm x 20cm x 18.2cm - - and weighs 2.8kg.
