Music Man brings its latest American-made product to the marketplace- the S.U.B. 5, a 5-string bass guitar with a selling price of $695. The S.U.B. 5 was designed in-house at Ernie Ball, first appearing at the summer '03 NAMM show in Nashville.

Manufactured at the Music Man plant on the Central Coast of California in San Luis Obispo, the Sub 5 will begin shipping in October '03. It will be available in white, black, teal, red, blue and graphite and comes stocked with passive or active 2 band EQ electronics, volume, treble and bass.

The neck features a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with a black painted neck and headstock, and a 6-bolt attachment for perfect alignment with no shifting. The diamond plate aluminum pick guard is in the 'oval shape' found on the S.U.B. 4 bass and surrounds a Music Man humbucking pickup.
