At the Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Celemony Software is presenting with Version 2.5 of Melodyne the 'Melody Manager', which helps not only with the organization of audio data but also permits spontaneous interaction with phrases and melodies.

Melody Manager offers similar functions for audio files to those offered for text files by Windows Explorer: it facilitates the search for, organisation and cataloging of files on hard disk or CD, offering auditioning functions and a variety display options that include not only the simple (but often less than informative) waveform but also notes, text and the characteristic Melodyne blobs and providing an more intuitive overview of the audio files.

As a spontaneous creative tool, Melody Manager is easy to use. Just drag and drop files (or portions thereof) to the application and you have access to Melodyne's range of functions. One click and any timing or intonation errors are fixed instantly. In this way, musicians, producers and sound engineers can create whole melodies from disparate phrases, new tunes from old, or an entire guitar solos from a handful of nifty licks.

The Melody Manager is a component of Melodyne Version 2.5 and should be available for registered users of Melodyne Version 2.0 upwards to download free of charge from www.celemony.com from mid April 2004 onwards.
