  • Michael Kelly Ships The Valor Custom Electric Guitar

    By Guest |

Michael Kelly recently introduced the new Valor Custom guitar in Anaheim, California during the winter NAMM show. The "new from the head stock down" Valor Custom is a no-holds-barred, no excuses double cutaway axe. The Valor Custom features a new beautiful deeply carved arched top. The body is mahogany with a maple top. The fretboard is ebony with a special Valor Custom inlay made from real pearl and abalone. Each Valor features a premium flame maple top with one of several vibrant color options.

Michael Kelly guitars are first and foremost built on sound, and the Valor is no exception. The Valor's heart beats with the sound of the new Rockfield® SWC-1 (Select Wound Custom) pickups. With over a year in meticulous research, testing and development, these pickups represent our goal to use the best vintage style electric guitar pickups available. The SWC-1s are constructed with the best available USA magnets and wire for a true high quality, crisp and clear vintage growl. Both pickups are also coil tapped for single coil tone or screaming dual humbucker sounds.

You'll also find a fully adjustable TonePros® locking wrap-around bridge for improved resonance and performance. For added tone, Michael Kelly designed a new unique solid set-neck joint for the Valor that helps to create an ultra-tight connection to the body that helps the neck and body resonate like one giant hunk of solid wood.

The Valor Custom is available beginning February, 2006. Manufacturer's retail price is set at $715. For more information, visit the Valor Custom product page.
