  • Lucida Introduces Three New Bajo Quintos

    By Guest |

For mariachi-style Bajo players who want clear, crisp tone, Lucida introduces three new Bajo Quinto models that bring the classic mariachi sound without the muddiness from the low E-strings commonly associated with the traditional Bajo Sexto. The Bajo Quinto is built from the same select tonewoods as the Lucida Bajo Sexto, and is available in three different configurations to accommodate any traditional or contemporary playing situation. The Lucida Bajo Quintos are available as an acoustic model (LG-BQ1), an acoustic-electric model (LG-BQ1-E) and a thin-body electric (LG-BQ2-E). Lucida Bajo Quintos feature solid spruce tops, mahogany backs, sides, and necks, rosewood bridges and fretboards, abalone and fiber rosettes, and 3-ply body binding. The Bajo Quintos have classic cutaway designs to allow comfortable access to the upper frets. Despite their popularity, a quality Bajo Quinto can be hard to find. Lucida is proud to bring to market these classic mariachi-style guitars with authentic features and an affordable price tag. The Bajo Quintos with 4-band EQ pickups list for $399.99, while the standard Bajo Quinto lists for $329.99. All three models are available now. Lucida, a division of The Music Link, is the maker of authentic classical guitars as well as traditional instruments.
