• Note Reading Book Camp From Spring Day Music Gets Students Reading Music Quickly

    By Guest |

Spring Day is pleased to release David Ewer's Note Reading Boot Camp, a downloadable e-book course that trains students in music reading by dealing with the first and most important aspect of music reading: identifying note names.

Note Reading Boot Camp is the result of research into the way the brain develops automatic note recognition and recall. It is a significant departure from the standard memory gimmicks that are often used to teach note recognition.

Course author David Ewer contends, "Using memory gimmicks can be a significant problem where speed is required. And many do not progress beyond the point of the memory gimmick, so they remain stunted in their progress in note-reading. Then they begin to assume that they're just one of those people who don't 'get' music."

Available as a downloadable e-book, and as a coil-bound book, Note Reading Boot Camp features twelve comprehensive lessons designed for any musician who wants to read music. The course covers both the treble and bass clefs, and includes online audio drills as well.
