Los Cabos Drumsticks Extend Think Pink National Charity Campaign
By Guest |
Back in November of 2010, Los Cabos Drumsticks launched a fundraising
campaign called Think Pink in support of breast cancer research and related
charities. The campaign began following Breast Cancer Awareness Month,
October 2010, as a way of keeping awareness in the media following a month
of national fundraising events.
Based around the company's 5A Hickory Pink drumsticks and using those sticks
as the symbol of the campaign, the Los Cabos Drumsticks pledged to donate a
portion of the proceeds from the sale of each pair of sticks sold over a six
month period, towards charities supporting breast cancer awareness.
With April 2011 signaling the end of the fundraiser, Los Cabos Drumsticks
have decided to extend Think Pink to run for an entire year, now ending
October 31, 2011.
"Think Pink has been a great success," said Matt Carter, director of
marketing and artist relations for Los Cabos Drumsticks. "We're pleased to
be able to help spread awareness for breast cancer research and charities
throughout the music community and the support we received has been
overwhelming. In fact, the unexpected demand delayed us in getting our pink
sticks out to many of our distributors in Europe and parts of the United
States. To be fair to the spirit of the campaign and the charity we're
supporting, we thought it would be best to extend Think Pink for a total of
twelve months to allow our friends in Europe and the United States an
opportunity to get involved."
Additional information and regular updates will soon be available on the
company's website: www.loscabosdrumsticks.com/main/pink
