Levinson Reintroduces Vintage Oil Finishes

Once again offering a decidedly retro look, Levinson Blade Guitars of Switzerland has reintroduced its signature coloured oil finishes. Utilising ecologically friendly, non-toxic, natural resin oil stains, the finishes accent the natural structure of the wood by imparting an aged appearance and a silky surface to the instruments, simultaneously enhancing the inherent resonance of the wood, which results in an audible difference to the instruments' tone. Vintage oil finishes are currently available on the California Climax in vintage violet, rubbed red, brushed blue and totally natural.

Levinson has also opened a site on MySpace.com featuring blurbs, blogs, multimedia and more of all things Blade.
