    Expansion Of Platinum Series

Based on the success of its groundbreaking Platinum Spot 5R, Elation will be expanding its Platinum Series of DMX moving heads, which utilize advanced MSD Platinum Lamp technology from Philips.  The Platinum lamp allows for an extremely compact and lightweight fixture design, cuts energy usage in half, and offers double the lamp life. The following 3 new Platinum Series products will be shown at LDI:

Platinum Spot 5R Pro – Like the original Platinum Spot 5R, the new Platinum Spot 5R Pro emits comparable output to a 575-watt fixture, while measuring half the size, consuming half as much energy, and offering twice as long lamp life – thanks to its MSD Platinum Lamp technology. Loaded with gobos and effects like the original, the Platinum Spot 5R Pro boasts several exciting new features as well, including CMY color mixing, a built-in Zoom, Pan/Tilt Lock, and an optional wireless DMX receiver.  Also found on the “Pro” are the complete palette of professional features that made the original so popular, including: 22 gobos, 3 facet rotating prism, Motorized Iris, Variable Frost Filter and Motorized Focus.

Platinum Spot 15R – Offering the same features as the Platinum Spot 5R Pro (above), the Platinum Spot 15R is powered by the new, larger, ultra-powerful Philips 15R MSD Platinum Lamp, taking this cutting-edge technology to new heights – and brightness – for bigger applications.

Platinum Spot LED -- An LED moving head built in a Platinum-style case!  The Platinum Spot offers similar functionality and features to Elation’s Design Spot LED, including: 2 gobo wheels (total 14 gobos); a color wheel (8 dichroic colors plus white); two-direction Rainbow Effect; 3-facet Rotating/Indexing Prism; Variable Frost Filter, Motorized Iris; 16 DMX channels; 540° or 630° Pan and 265° Tilt; and much more.  Equal in output to a 250-watt discharge fixture, it has a 50,000-hour lamp life.
