KVR Developer Challenge 2016 Announced
KVR Audio and NAMM team up to provide travel and cash prizes for the
open invitation, software creation event for developers
Redwood City, CA, (September 29, 2016) – KVR Audio announces the KVR Developer Challenge 2016, the sixth installment of their audio plug-in, application and soundware design event.
The KVR Developer Challenge is open to everyone who develops audio plug-ins or applications and soundware. To enter, simply create and release an original, new, free audio plug-in, application or sound library/pack/set that will benefit the community at large. KVR members will vote on the entries and pick the winner based on ratings of designated criteria. The entry with the most votes will win. Projects can be simple or complex, but creativity is key!
This year's grand prize is sponsored by KVR Audio and NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants). The winning developer will receive airfare and hotel accommodations for the 2017 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, January 19-22, 2017, and have a special opportunity to present and promote their entry at the show! In addition, five cash prizes will also be awarded to the top entries plus a wildcard pick. Prize moneys are sponsored by the community-funded KVR Developer Challenge 2016 donation pool. Additional software prizes to be added will be shared with donators to the competition.
Entries may be submitted through November 30th, 2016. All submissions will then be hosted for download on the KVR server and released simultaneously for public appraisal and voting.
