The software also features enhanced MIDI support, enabling the D16 to send and receive MIDI Time Code and MMC, along with the ability to send and receive mixer parameters as MIDI controller messages.

Other new features in the D16v2 OS Update include:

  • The ability to import songs from the Korg D8
  • Track Fade in/out with selectable fade time curves
  • Track normalization for maximizing signal strength
  • Improved tempo map editing
  • 3 Undo levels (99, 8 or 1) to free disk memory
  • Scene memory sort function to display scenes in order by time position
  • New improved volume control parameters for PCM rhythm patterns

The Korg D16 Digital Recording Studio features 16 tracks of uncompressed 24-bit recording/playback in a compact, easy-to-use package. It includes a wide variety of high-quality internal effects along with a 24 channel mixer and a full-function EQ. Also included are exclusive features such as Korg’s acclaimed REMS (Resonant structure and Electronic circuit Modeling System) technology and a Touch View(TM) system with a large backlit display.
