Korg Inc., parent company of Korg USA, Inc., announced that Mr. Joseph B. Castronovo has been named Korg USA's new President. Mr. Castronovo has been with Korg USA, the exclusive U.S. distributor of Korg, Marshall, ToneWorks and VOX, for over 20 years, most recently serving as Executive Vice President and CFO. Mr. Castronovo is the successor to Korg USA's former President, Michael Kovins, who passed away May 2, 2006.
In 1985, Mr. Castronovo began his career at Korg USA as Manager of Financial Reporting and steadily earned senior level responsibilities: he went on to become Corporate Controller, then Vice President-Finance, next Senior Vice President-Finance and Operations. In 1994, he was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and has diligently worked to ensure the continued advancement of the company and its acclaimed product lines.
Mr. Castronovo resides in Garden City, NY, with his wife, Beth, and three children, Kate, Alex and Charlotte. He earned his BS/Accounting in 1978 from Boston University and MBA/Management at Hofstra University in 1997. Mr. Castronovo is an active community member, serving on the boards of a variety of civic and philanthropic organizations. He is the President of the Miracle Foundation, Director of the Huntington Arts Council, a Board Member of the Garden City Community Church, and Director of the Garden City Estates Property Owner's Association.
