  • KMC Music to launch North American Distribution of Babicz Full Contact Hardware

    By Guest |

KMC Music has been appointed the exclusive distributor to launch the North American and Latin American distribution of the new Full Contact Hardware by Babicz Design Ltd. The product is an entirely new bridge saddle system for solid body electric guitars and basses. Through the strategic alliance of Babicz and KMC Music the patent-pending technology will also be available for license for aftermarket and OEM products. The 'Full Contact Hardware' system (USPTO Provisional Patent # 61/206,015) offers "full contact" between the vibrating string and the body of the instrument. Air gaps and spaces under the saddle are eliminated and over 50 x more contact surface per saddle is maintained. Conventional string height action adjustment set screws are eliminated. With the "Full Contact Hardware" tone and sustain is dramatically improved and never compromises the ability to set action and intonation preferences. Roger Hart, KMC Music's Director of Merchandising said: "As a self-admitted gear geek, I've seen all manner of guitar hardware. Jeff Babicz' design is revolutionary; a bridge system that will improve the tone and setup of almost any electric guitar or bass available." KMC Music is the largest independent distributor of musical instruments and accessories in the United States and a major producer of guitars and guitar parts and accessories. Kaman owns a number of subsidiaries and brands in music industry, including Ovation, Takamine, Hamer and Adamas Guitars and Genz Benz Amplifiers. Jeff Babicz states "We at Babicz Design are proud to have KMC Music — the number one distributor leading the way with the Full Contact Hardware program. Musicians everywhere will benefit from KMC's commitment to distribution along with the Babicz commitment to electric guitar and bass hardware innovation".
