Johnson introduces their new Herringbone series of acoustic guitars, each guitar handcrafted by Johnson's luthiers. Each instrument features a woven imported herringbone inlay, a hand selected Canadian Sitka spruce top, scalloped bracing, all-Honduran mahogany back and sides, and an optional B-band EQ pickup. The Johnson Herringbone models start at just under $200.

Johnson starts their Herringbone series by unveiling the classic Herringbone Dreadnaught (JG-D30-N). This guitar features an intricately woven herringbone inlay that slowly stretches its way along the purfling of the instrument, as well as, adorns the beautiful rosette of the guitar. This dreadnaught also features scalloped bracing that is meticulously carved to achieve this blissful tone.

Honduran mahogany makes up the JG-D30-N's back and sides. This gives the guitar even greater stability and feel. This dreadnaught features a dovetail neck joint and comes dressed with a rosewood fretboard, bone nut and ivoroid body binding for added value.

Johnson's JG-D30-N wouldn't be complete without the optional B-Band pickup with 4-band EQ. This pickup features an electret film transducer that gives the guitar a complete acoustic sound.

This Herringbone dreadnaught is also available in a cutaway shape and a cutaway acoustic/electric shape. For players who want it all, Johnson offers the JG-D35-N with a solid Canadian Sitka spruce top for even greater tonal brilliance and warmth.
