Guitar and bass maker Ibanez displayed a very large number of products at the recent Anaheim NAMM musical instrument convention. The expansion of Ibanez Prestige models definitely includes their Soundgear bass line. 2005 Prestige Soundgears feature neck-thru construction for better sustain, stability and upper fret access.

The 4-string and 5-string Soundgear Prestige models are available with the choice of flamed maple top and maple body wings for players desiring a brighter sound and mahogany wings and a walnut top for those favoring a darker sound. The 6-string Soundgear Prestige features maple wings with a flamed maple top. A fourth generation Mono-Rail bridge featured on all Soundgear Prestige models offers improved string-to-string isolation for better total integrity and even easier string changes.

2005 Soundgear Prestige basses will continue to feature custom Bartolini pickups made specifically for Ibanez.

Soundgear Prestige list prices are $1329.99 for the 4-string SR1000E models, 1459.99 for the SR1005E 5-string models, and $1569.99 for the 6-string model.
