Ibanez Upgrades AE Series with B-Band Designed Pickups

For 2004, Ibanez's line of AE acoustics gets a host of upgrades. The guitars are now equipped with SquealRepeal pickups, a split pickup design by Ibanez and B-Band that reduces body feedback. The pickups are complemented by a special Ibanez Shape Shifter tone shaper EQ.

Like most of Ibanez 2004 Acoustic line, the AE acoustic-electrics will also feature ultra-hard Ivorex II nuts and saddles, Advantage bridge pins which allow easy string changes with complete string security, and D'Addario EXP long-life strings.

Pictured is the AEF37 flagship AE in the new Sunset Gold High Gloss finish, which lists for $799.99.

Ivorex II Nut and Saddle

Ibanez's new Ivorex II is stronger and more durable than bone and even harder than the original Ivorex. Ivorex II is specially formulated to provide ultra-fast response and maximum sound transfer to the body. In addition, Ivorex II allows brilliant highs and more pronounced lows with less midrange, which make Ivorex II fitted guitars perfect for amplification.

Advantage Bridge Pins

These new pins are a real advantage over old-fashioned pins. Advantage pins are easier to take out and easier to put in than standard pins. A special bulb-shaped end makes the pin easy to grip and also prevents the pin from being pushed in too far. Best of all, the pin and string stay put.
