  • Ibanez Expands RGA Line of Fire—New Arch-Top Solid Bodies Added Including 7- and 8-String Models

    By Guest |

In 2010 Ibanez rolls out a slew of new scorching additions to its best selling line RGA series of arch-topped, set-in necked electric guitars. The Japanese-made metal monster RGA420Z DSH boasts a double-locking, Edge-Zero bridge and ZPS3 spring system for extreme tremolo effects along with incredible tuning stability. The RGA72TQM TGB and RGA72TQM BBS feature a 3-piece maple set-in neck with a smooth heel for outstanding playability and the Edge III double-locking tremolo. Other models in the line-up are designed for players preferring a fixed bridge: the RGA72QMTGB with its snake fang inlay and RGA32TYF are both fitted with Gibraltar Standard hardtail bridges. The first RGA 7-string model, RGA7BK, and the first 8-string, RGA8BK, both arrive ready for attack accompanied by the rigid set-up of fixed Gibraltar Standard bridges. All RGA models feature powerful IBZ active, low noise LZ pickups, which were designed for heavier metal styles. Ibanez RGA series electric guitars project power, sustain and beauty and offer nearly unlimited tonal possibilities. Arched topped, comfortably-contoured mahogany bodies allow players to knock down heavy riffs and power chords, with more freedom to move onstage. Beautiful flamed and quilted finishes are also available in select models.
